previous experience: The participating team belongs to the Faculty of Engineering, School of Architecture, Department of Architectural Design and Architectural Technology and has a high, recent and ongoing experience in the Blue Growth – Blue Energy sector, being the Greek partner of Interreg MED, MAESTRALE project dedicated to Blue Energy. The participating team is the founder of The Hellenic Blue Energy Lab – “EL BEL”, a platform of local enterprises, public authorities, knowledge institutions and citizens that operate to support future blue energy policies and plan concrete strategies for blue growth. Further on, though its participation to previous analogous European Projects where cooperation among Higher Education and SMEs, the team has experience in working with SMEs even more so under the voucher scheme.

- Cultural Creative Sector Abilities: The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is the largest university in Greece with more than 73.930 students. Located in the center of the city Thessaloniki, it covers an area of about 33.4 hectares and comprises 10 faculties which consist of 40 schools and 1 single-School Faculty. The participating team belongs to the Faculty of Engineering, School of Architecture, Department of Architectural Design and Architectural Technology, consisting of University Professors and Research Associates, that expertise in various areas related to Sustainability, Environmental and Innovative Design as it can be found both in Blue Growth but as well in every sector. The experience and knowledge gained by performing and participating in numerous Research European and National projects, has enable the team to attain an inter/multi-disciplinary approach of ideas, a high understanding of hidden parameters and possible hindrances to be overcomed and high analytical skills for the realization of every scenario. Furthermore the understanding of the environmental aspects in every sector, the structure of every innovative mechanical technology and systems, the corresponding for every case smart technology that can be used to achieve less energy consumption and of course the aesthetics in design that is needed to promote a project/construction in order to be successful economically, are all skills that the AUTH team can exhibit.
