profile: Thessaloniki Convention Bureau was created in 2014 by a group of private companies, with the participation and support of the Municipality of Thessaloniki. We act as intermediary link between planners and local service providers, conference centers, venues, hotels, PCO’s & DMC’s. We are the liaison with local authorities, the media, service providers and specialists. TCB is a member-based organization, counting 50 members, leading partners of the events and conventions industry in Thessaloniki. High professionalism in meetings organization, attractive venues, high standards hotels and a large number of relevant to the industry services, add value the city’s charming profile. Our mission is to establish Thessaloniki as an excellent meeting and convention destination, targeting at increasing international networking, hosting highly professional MICE events, participating at the most important Meetings Industry events worldwide. Furthermore, through an initiative of the Municipality of Thessaloniki and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, we operate the Thessaloniki Tourist Information Centers in Aristotelous Square and near the White Tower (Vassiliko Theatro). Equipped with state of the art interactive systems, they attract tourists and locals, providing information to the visitors.

Blue growth: NACE 79901000 Tourism Promotion and Visitor Information Services Thessaloniki Convention Bureau aims to establish Thessaloniki as an excellent meeting and convention destination, targeting at increasing international networking, hosting highly professional MICE events, participating at the most important Meetings Industry events worldwide. We strongly support the global trend for Green Meetings and urge our members to follow Green and Sustainable Meetings Guidelines, regarding transportation, food and beverages (offer tap drinking water only, use of biodegradable disposables), using recycled and recyclable material, establishing a zero-waste policy for promotional material for the exhibitors, avoiding printed materials, attempting to achieve a CO2 neutral conference. Through the operation of the two Thessaloniki Tourist Information Centers, we act as the focal point of information and experience provider to the visitors. Thessaloniki, Greece’s second tier city, located in the north, with strong ties with the neighboring countries and the hinterland, is proud of its 5 km waterfront, its lively atmosphere and its unique gastronomy. Through our network of 50 members, leading partners of the tourism industry in Thessaloniki, we promote experiences to the visitors strengthening one of the city’s most interesting and charming assets, its ties with the Thermaikos Gulf, the waterfront and the port. Thessaloniki Port Authority and Sailing Time, two of our most active members, do contribute significantly towards this direction.
